Many shipyards have added a Fuse block with cover to their wiring system and connected the power and ground of the battery to the 6 circuit fuse block or 12 circuit fuse block. Usually, your GPS, stereo and other devices will use terminal blocks to supply power to complete the circuit. In most cases, circuit breakers protect circuits, but most equipment manufacturers require the use of series fuses to protect equipment.
Many electronic products require each device to be equipped with a 5 amp fuse. Stereo amplifiers may require 30 amp to 60 amp fuses. If your boat has many devices connected to the car battery fuse block panel, and each device has a built-in fuse, the vehicle fuse block will become an illegible bird鈥檚 nest, and troubleshooting the fuse will become unnecessarily difficult.
There is a worse way to do this. You may see that the device runs directly on battery power. Or, they are mounted on a shovel terminal on the switch of another device. If you only have one connection directly to the battery, you can use a fuse, but it is far from ideal.
The ideal wiring arrangement is to replace the spade panel with a 100 amp fuse block. It should have a transparent protective cover, and each position can be affixed with a corresponding label in order to distinguish which device the fuse sheet corresponds to. When the corresponding fuse in the marine fuse block with negative bus is broken, we can judge the corresponding device faster. It can also replace the good fuse faster to avoid short circuit and cause fire.Fuse Block factory
